What Does Sc Mean On Samsung Washer

What Does “SC” Mean on a Samsung Washer?

If you’re seeing an “SC” error code on your Samsung washer, it means there’s a problem with the water supply.

Causes of an “SC” Error Code

  • The water supply hose is kinked or blocked.
  • The water pressure is too low.
  • The water inlet valve is faulty.

How to Fix an “SC” Error Code

  1. Check the water supply hose for kinks or blockages. If you find any, straighten or remove them.
  2. Check the water pressure. It should be between 20 and 80 psi. If the water pressure is too low, you may need to call a plumber.
  3. If the water supply hose and water pressure are both fine, the problem may be the water inlet valve. To replace the water inlet valve, you will need to:
    1. Unplug the washer from the power outlet.
    2. Turn off the water supply to the washer.
    3. Disconnect the water supply hoses from the water inlet valve.
    4. Remove the two screws that hold the water inlet valve in place.
    5. Pull the water inlet valve straight out.
    6. Insert the new water inlet valve into the hole in the washer.
    7. Secure the water inlet valve with the two screws.
    8. Reattach the water supply hoses to the water inlet valve.
    9. Turn on the water supply to the washer.
    10. Plug the washer back into the power outlet.

If You Can’t Fix the Problem Yourself

If you’ve tried all of the above and you’re still getting an “SC” error code, you may need to call a qualified appliance repair technician.
