How to Get on Rise of the Resistance

Rise of the Resistance is one of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. It’s a thrilling and immersive experience that puts you right in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order. If you’re planning to visit either park, you’ll definitely want to try to get on Rise of the Resistance.

However, getting on Rise of the Resistance can be a challenge. The ride is very popular, and there are a limited number of boarding groups available each day. In this guide, we’ll share our tips on how to get on Rise of the Resistance so you can experience this amazing ride for yourself.

1. Purchase a Park Hopper Ticket

The first step to getting on Rise of the Resistance is to purchase a park hopper ticket. This type of ticket allows you to visit both Walt Disney World and Disneyland on the same day. You will need a park hopper ticket to ride Rise of the Resistance because the ride is located in both parks.

2. Arrive at the Park Early

The best way to get on Rise of the Resistance is to arrive at the park early. The ride opens at 9:00am, but we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to get a good spot in line.

3. Join a Boarding Group

Once you arrive at the park, you will need to join a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. Boarding groups are assigned at 7:00am each day. To join a boarding group, you will need to use the My Disney Experience app.

To use the My Disney Experience app to join a boarding group, follow these steps:

  1. Open the My Disney Experience app.
  2. Click on the “Park” tab.
  3. Scroll down and select “Rise of the Resistance.”
  4. Click on the “Join Boarding Group” button.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to join a boarding group.

Once you have joined a boarding group, you will need to wait for your group to be called. You can check the status of your boarding group in the My Disney Experience app.

4. Wait for Your Boarding Group to Be Called

When your boarding group is called, you will need to go to the Rise of the Resistance entrance. You will need to show your boarding group pass to a Cast Member. The Cast Member will then direct you to the ride.
