How to Move Your Cox Service
Moving can be a stressful process, but moving your Cox service doesn’t have to be. With a little planning, you can have your services up and running at your new home in no time.
Scheduling Your Move
The first step is to schedule your move with Cox. You can do this online, over the phone, or at a local Cox store. When you schedule your move, you’ll need to provide the following information:
- Your current address
- Your new address
- The date you’re moving
Packing Your Equipment
Once you’ve scheduled your move, it’s time to start packing your equipment. Cox recommends that you pack your equipment in its original packaging, if possible. If you don’t have the original packaging, you can use sturdy boxes and packing materials.
Be sure to label all of your boxes clearly, so Cox can easily identify your equipment when they arrive at your new home.
Moving Your Equipment
On the day of your move, Cox will send a technician to your new home to install your services. The technician will need to access your electrical and phone outlets, so be sure to have them cleared before they arrive.
Connecting Your Services
Once the technician has installed your services, you’ll need to connect your equipment to your TV, computer, and phone. For detailed instructions on how to connect your equipment, please refer to the user manuals for your devices.
Troubleshooting
If you have any problems connecting your equipment or if your services are not working properly, please contact Cox customer service. They will be able to help you troubleshoot the problem and get your services up and running.
