How to Make Stuffed Peppers with Rice

Ingredients
- 6 bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup white rice
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and ribs. Rinse the peppers with cold water.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the rice, onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook until the sauce is heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Fill the bell peppers with the rice mixture. Place the peppers in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the rice is cooked through.

Tips
- To make your stuffed peppers healthier, use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef. You can also use brown rice instead of white rice.
