Application Process

1. Gather necessary documents:

   • Medical records documenting your disability
   • Employment and income history
2. Complete the application:
   • Download the application form from the South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) website
   • Fill out the form completely and provide all required information
3. Submit the application:
   • Mail the completed application to the DSS office in your county
   • You can also apply online through the DSS website

Review and Decision

Once DSS receives your application, they will review it and make a decision within 90 days. If your application is approved, you will receive monthly disability benefits.
