How to Make Chocolate Muffins
Chocolate muffins are a classic treat that are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking with different toppings and fillings.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
