Types of Knitting Stitches

2. Hook the yarn over the right-hand knitting needle.

4. Slide the new stitch onto the right-hand knitting needle.

**Seed Stitch**
Seed stitch is made by alternating knit and purl stitches on every other row. It produces a fabric that has a textured, bumpy appearance, and it is often used for sweaters, hats, and blankets.
